The Regional Commercialization Project Manager will lead, collaborate and deliver the successful, and on time, execution of new product launches within their region, in collaboration with the National Commercialization team. The ideal candidate will be able to see the big picture, while getting into the details and executing. This role is key to creating visibility throughout the organization around state-level product development processes and managing cross-functional stage-gate process from concept through launch. They will be a critical partner on information flow between state, regional, and national teams, ensuring projects launch successfully.
Responsibilities:
Work with National Commercialization team and New Product Innovation Studio, and Regional and State cross-functional teams to drive product development process for commercialization, including new line extensions, benefit spaces, new formats, new categories and new markets
Collect, validate, and share information from regional teams, including, but not limited to: COGS, sales forecasts, state compliance details (where appropriate), pricing, product details, etc.
Facilitate approvals from New Product Innovation Studio to regionals for consolidated feedback specific to region in an organized and clean manner
Upkeep National and Regional Smartsheet data consistently so information is always up-to-date and clear
Effectively communicate project expectations to regional and state team members and stakeholders, and lead project update meetings, maintain timelines, resource utilization, and prepare project reports
Communicate updates from National to Regional Leads and Teams as needed
Review product asset bundles with an eye towards state nuances and updates needed prior to launch
Ability to see the big picture of a project, while monitoring the effectiveness and contributions of the individual project functions
Communicate and work with cross-functional partners, leadership, and internal and external partners
Identify roadblocks and risks and recommend resolutions
Identify and resolve conflict and mitigate issues quickly
Partnership in the development of processes, tools, and tracking metrics for project management and product development
Provide planning support to project teams, to ensure that projects are well-planned and have a high probability of being executed on-schedule and within scope
Qualifications:
Action oriented, with a strong attention to detail and creative problem solving capabilities
Comfortable with the ambiguity that sometimes accompanies new innovation
High energy, with a positive, open mind
Strong project management skills with focus on deliverables, oversight, quality and timelines
Familiar with project management tools, including Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Agile, etc.
Extremely organized, able to work independently, multi-task and manage complex projects in a rapidly changing environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills including strong presentation skills
Strong attention to detail and focus on quality results
Collaboration and conflict resolution skills, strong interpersonal skills
Experience:
Experience with cannabis is a plus
Proven experience/success of managing multiple projects with rapidly shifting needs and priorities
At least three years hands-on experience in multi-channel product launches and/or project management, operations, manufacturing or supply chain, product development, or other experience that demonstrates cross-functional collaboration. Experience in multi-market, multi-channel companies
Education: A bachelor’s degree or similar demonstrated experience
Location: Based in Boston, MA and will travel some within the country. This will be largely remote position.
The position will report into the Director, Product Commercialization
