Senior Manager of Acquisition & Technical Accounting
Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Senior Manager of Acquisition & Technical Accounting will be primarily responsible for Acquisition and related technical accounting including the oversight and assessment of purchase price accounting and annual impairment testing. Must be extremely hands-on self-starter who is able to work independently.
Quarterly and annual ownership of goodwill & intangible impairment review, and assigned external reporting footnotes
Coordinate with FP&A, Strategy, and external consultants to review and complete purchase price accounting and annual impairment review
Review of potential and completed acquisition deals, including assessing the accounting treatment and preparing the corresponding accounting documentation
Post deal close, assist in facilitating seamless integration and onboarding of these businesses and their accounting functions
Execute SOX 404 controls for assigned areas in External Reporting and Technical Accounting
Serve as key contact with external auditors related to periodic financial audits
Participate in special projects and ad hoc requests
The ideal candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in accounting and 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in a large public company, a division of a large public company and/or public accounting firms.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting/finance
Ability to work under tight deadlines
Results oriented, driven, hands-on leader
Experience with managing and working with auditors and external consultants
Comfort in high growth, rapidly changing business environments
Strong and up-to-date technical accounting skills, including extensive knowledge of acquisitions and impairment review
