Curaleaf, Inc. is currently in search of an organized and dependable individual to add to help Lead the production of mother stock. Cultivation Leads participate heavily in directing mother production and cloning processes, adhering to the production schedule developed by the Director of Cultivation and diligently follow crop maintenance and sanitation schedules. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures and federal and state laws.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Implement good agricultural practices (GAPs) and follow all GMPs and Facility Rules
Keep good records and follow good documentation practices (GDPs)
Department KPI data collection and entry
Train all Propagation and Cultivation Associates on propagation SOPs and changes to policy.
Lead Propagation and Cultivation Associates through all mother stock related tasks.
Assure cultivation team members are completing mother room tasks as outline in SOPs efficiently.
Assist in all plant care from maintaining mother stock to harvest, including automated and hand watering, cloning, propagation, pheno hunting, transplanting, pruning, topping, defoliating, trellising, and harvesting
Typical daily work tasks required include (but not limited to): pruning, transplanting/moving plants, cloning, hand watering, cleaning, IPM tasks, inventory management, etc
Monitoring of environmental conditions including, but not limited to, temperature, humidity, CO2 levels, VPD, W/M2, etc.
Gather EC, pH and volume data from the irrigation system in the propagation rooms
Distribute biological control agents (BCAs) as needed
Apply foliar feeds and other sprays when directed
Scout mother stock for pests/disease and document on proper forms
Operate and maintain cultivation systems/equipment
Stock cultivation supplies as needed
Clean, sanitize, and setup all grow rooms
Maintain and ensure proper storage and sanitation of all tools and equipment, including but not limited to shop vacs, pumps, hoses, carts, scissors, cloning supplies, stools, totes, gloves, rags, and PPE gear
Conduct trials to evaluate possible improvements to the crop in mother stage
Assist Production Manager in keeping accurate inventory of propagation materials, tools, and equipment
Perform regular audits as required
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualification Requirements:
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Subject to background check per state cannabis regulations.
Internal candidates must be in their current role 6 months or more for consideration.
High school diploma or GED required
Must have valid state license with reliable transportation
Hard worker and team player
Must understand and follow rules, regulations, policies, and procedures set forth by the state and company
Able to follow and adhere to a complex production and harvest schedule in a fast-paced environment
Show skills in analyzing potential problems with plant health or the product being processed
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Understand current knowledge of processing techniques & industry technologies
Physical aptitude and health necessary to perform manual labor tasks required for the proper management of a commercial grow
Display accountability, proactive behavior, and strong attention to detail
Excellent time-management skills
Ability to effectively plan and prioritize
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to work with regulated material in a fast-paced environment
Ability to focus & attention to detail
Ability to communicate both verbally and written
Work with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook
Work with Leaf Logix and other inventory management software systems
This position requires a great deal of sitting, walking, bending, and reaching
Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift objects on a regular basis, and perform daily repetitive tasks
Close visual focus required
This position requires the extended and repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers to cut/manipulate small objects
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lb.
Exposure to possible allergens, irritants (organic and chemical), and loud noises
Cannabis experience preferred
Experience with high volume production beneficial
