JOB SUMMARY

Cresco Labs is seeking an Automation Supervisor. As the Automation Supervisor, you will ensure the processing and packaging equipment is maintained in a satisfactory and safe condition for all production and packaging equipment. Cresco’s Automation Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of the staff who handles the planned and unplanned maintenance of production and packaging equipment.  This individual should have a background in troubleshooting various competencies: Advanced Pneumatic, Basic Hydraulic, AC/DC Electrical Systems, Automation (PLC and Instrumentation), Robotics Automation, Machining, and Mechanical Systems on all Process and Packaging Equipment with minimal guidance. Oversee maintenance and repair of processing and packaging equipment in a fast paced, high production work environment, while prioritizing the completion of multiple electrical/mechanical and administrative tasks.

 

CORE JOB DUTIES


Manage troubleshooting and maintenance work on processing and packaging equipment.

Manage and direct the team who handles the planned and unplanned maintenance and setup of automation equipment throughout the plant. Administer coaching and discipline to direct reports, as needed, partnering with Human Resources where appropriate.

Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to document all maintenance activities completed on equipment and spare parts consumed.

Train maintenance staff on proper operation and repair of processing and packaging equipment

Maintain automation Preventative Maintenance schedule. Show flexibility with schedules based off workload.

Ensure team performs quality work within reasonable time standards set forth by management in verbal or written instructions.

Ensure team executes duties in a safe and efficient manner. Adheres to all safety rules and regulations.

 

Performs other related duties and assignments as required.


 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS


5+ years of hands-on processing and packaging equipment maintenance; troubleshooting and working with PLC’s and automation equipment

Proficient with lockout tagout procedures (LOTO) and other OSHA safety standards as required.

Supervisory experience

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Robotic / PLC training

Ability to read machine prints

Basic understanding of Root Cause Analysis

Bachelor’s in engineering discipline (preferred)

E-Maint / SAP experience (preferred)

Experience with combination scales and fill equipment (preferred)

Food manufacturing experience (preferred)
