JOB SUMMARY
Cresco Labs Corporate is seeking a Directory of Commercial Analytics to support our growing Commercial Strategy team in our Chicago headquarters. Within this role, you will be responsible for integrating data science into our competitive strategy, analyzing internal and syndicated data to support marketing investment, pricing and promotional strategies, customer lifetime value, and forecasting. The role will interface with senior leadership and a broad set of cross-functional partners (Marketing, Sales, Retail, Investor Relations, etc.), supporting an objective view of Cresco’s commercial performance and competitive position. A successful applicant must possess high attention to detail, executive presence, strong storytelling skills, and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment. This role reports into the Vice President of Commercial Strategy.
CORE JOB DUTIES
Analyze, aggregate, and mine internal or syndicated data, to develop actionable insights that go beyond standard business reporting that supports marketing investment, pricing and promotional strategies, customer lifetime value, and forecasting
Establish correlations between consumer data points, market trends, and sales performance to drive actionable business insight for cross functional areas of the business (Marketing, Sales, Retail, Investor Relations, etc.),
Use problem-solving to support ambiguous business problems, and develop models in which data is either incomplete or evolving rapidly
Efficiently summarize disparate sources of data, and clearly communicate essential findings to senior leadership, investors, and analysts
Develop and lead market dialogue on shifts within the cannabis landscape, providing a perspective on industry growth and competitive dynamics
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Operations (or similar), with experience in statistical modeling; Masters (MBA or equivalent) preferred
7+ years of experience in consulting, analytics, quantitative marketing, finance, or a related field
Familiarity with statistical programming packages (R, Python), database management (SQL) and business intelligence tools (i.e., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus
Experience with econometrics, forecasting methods, and clustering analyses
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, advanced Excel and PowerPoint knowledge.
Ability to understand business operations, processes, and translate data into business insights that “tell a story” or aid decision-making
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and communicate data and information with attention to detail and accuracy
Experience with operational and/or sales data analytics strongly preferred
Effective time management and prioritization skills. Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills.
