The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for the accurate inventory of all incoming and outgoing supplies. You will plan to purchase and procure to maximize efficiencies and incorporate best supply chain practices to minimize inventory loss.  You will be responsible for inventory tracking, reviewing levels of supplies, and ordering new materials. You will also be responsible for managing all order fulfillment and shipping activities for the site while ensuring that the inventory team operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal.  These objectives will be achieved by supervising, organizing, directing, and training inventory team employees, and establishing, monitoring, and managing operational goals. Additionally, you will be responsible for hiring, training and mentoring inventory staff to ensure they follow safety protocols and use technology appropriately. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Oversee receiving, inventory, and fulfillment operations

Supervise daily operations and identify bottlenecks. Make suggestions for productivity and other continuous improvements

Plan, implement and manage procedures to optimize inventory control

Review timeliness of scheduled deliveries.

Oversee the planning and scheduling of order fulfillment in support of sales activities

Train and manage a team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals 

Communicate and collaborate with other team members

Plan, implement and manage procedures to optimize inventory control

Prepare detailed reports on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments.

Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system

Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations


Skill, Experience & Education:

Must be 21 years or older

Proven experience as inventory/warehouse supervisor or similar position

Associate degree in business or related field, preferred

Subject to background check per state regulations

Working knowledge of inventory management software (e.g. ERP)

Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports

Strong knowledge of inventory/supply chain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Leadership skills 

Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives

Outstanding organizational and problem-solving skill
