Curaleaf is hiring a temporary HR Clerk. The duties involve a wide range of support activities inside our HR department, from coordinating meetings to maintaining our employee database to posting job ads. An important part of your role will be to act as the liaison between HR and employees, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of requests and questions, high level of customer service is required in this role. You’ll also assist in all facets of HR administration and will support the HR Director.
Assist with day to day operations of the HR functions and duties
Provide clerical and administrative support to Human Resources team
Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies)
Providing customer service to organization employees
Serving as a point of contact with benefit vendors/administrators
Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations etc.)
Coordinate HR projects (meetings, training, surveys etc.)
Resolve or escalate employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations
Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, bonus, leaves, etc.)
Communicate with State services when necessary
Properly handle complaints and grievance procedures
Coordinate communication with candidates and schedule interviews
Conduct initial orientation to newly hired employees
Proven experience as an HR assistant, customer service or relevant human resources/ administrative position
Must be 21 years of age; able to pass a background check per state cannabis regulations
High School Diploma or equivalent; 1 year experience preferred
Knows what is expected of own role and how this contributes to objectives of team and department
Takes accountability to fulfill own responsibilities
Listens and pays attention actively and objectively
Self-starter-can research and seek answers to questions in a timely manner
Fast/accurate computer typing skills (MSOffice, in particular)
Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage scheduling of interviews, phone screens
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment (retail, staffing industry) preferred
Strong communications skills-both oral and written
Strong multi-tasking skills and flexibility to reprioritize
Ability to take initiative and work independently, as well as work collaboratively with colleagues in other locations
