The Product Development Coordinator will execute and actively participate in product development organizational tasks and will work in conjunction with the full Product Development team to support the research and development of vape, flower, RTS, and edible products. The Product Development Coordinator will demonstrate their knowledge in R&D and project management and will report directly to the VP of Product Development. Our ideal candidate is highly organized, a strong communicator, takes initiative, is detailed-oriented, and has strong problem-solving and analytical skills. 


Support the R&D testing and sensory evaluation process by participating in the physical preparation of R&D studies and coordination of materials needed for studies

Coordinate Product Development training activities that take place at the off-site product development lab or other locations that involve training, demos, and education on products and process to internal team members, external partners, and Wellness Advisors

Participate in coordination of the use and deployment of new tools used for formulating and research storage and communications

Assist and participate in sample preparation activities for shelf-life stability for flower, vapes, concentrates, tinctures, capsules, lotions, edibles, etc

Populate shelf-life reports after all data accumulation has been completed

Assist in the ordering of lab materials and supplies

Demonstrate exceptional good laboratory practices such as documentation and project organizational skills

Organize and PM team calls with agenda and actionable items

Build and create presentation decks for meetings, product trainings, and event summarization

Assist in the preparation of interactive brain storming sessions

Assist in the non-med sampling program to ensure samples are packed off and shipped as needed to meet monthly demands

Participate in sensory study activities

Assist in compiling post-launch data for team review on new product launches

Participate in line trials when and where needed

Become fluent in compliance tracking software

Coordination of projects and opportunities to ensure work is properly organized, scheduled and completed on time


Experience working for a cannabis MSO preferred

Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Food Science, or other technical or science related field preferred

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Highly organized with a strong attention to detail

Works collaboratively with teams, driving for results

Quick learner – grasps essence quickly and uses information learned to apply elsewhere

Deals well with ambiguity and gray areas – must be a self-starter

Excellent time management skills

Work with individuals who are more senior, striking a balance of driving for results but understanding when competing priorities exist

Highly flexible and adaptable – working in a fast-paced start-up involves daily shifting priorities; able to go with the flow and adjust to changing needs quickly

Local travel required about 15%, need to be flexible to work out of Joliet, The Hatchery (Chicago-based), and or Headquarters (River North)

Shows a high degree of proactive thinking, strong communication and presentations skills, collaborative mindset

Self-starter with creative problem-solving skills

Ability to work in a fast-pasted laboratory and manufacturing environment while conducing product development coordination tasks adhering to safety and GMP protocol

Likes to be an ambassador / advocate of the company and represent with pride at industry events with customers and community
