The Inventory Manager plans, organizes, directs, manages, measures and evaluates the people, processes and systems responsible for inventory within the distribution center and implements the inventory management policies of the organization. Responsible for the identification and implementation of opportunities for inventory operation improvements.

Plan, organize, direct, manage and evaluate the inventory management activities of the distribution center
Ensures accuracy of inventory across all storage locations by executing continuous physical inventory and cycle counts every 14 days. Analyze inventory discrepancies
Will assist with the slotting processes across all storage locations to ensure optimization of product flow
Will assist the inventory manager with the distribution center storage capacity across all types of storage, determine and execute on space optimization strategies.
Proactively manage inventory dating, excess, & obsolete inventory within the distribution center.
Communicate with Purchasing on upcoming dating, excess, & obsolete inventory. Communicate with inventory manage to ensure enough reserves for inventory.
Manage the corporate recoup program to ensure all damaged/defective product is accounted for and properly handled.
Assist the inventory manager in managing corporate governance and regulatory compliance procedures related to inventory management operations and state requirements
Assist in all retail returns. Audit returns and move returned product to its proper location. When necessary, processes proper documentation to generate a prompt credit transaction. Takes appropriate action on product that is not in salable condition
facilitate accurate inventory counts and adjustments. Completes and issues all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion
Performs other duties as assigned
Receives credit-return material and supplies from production by verifying materials and supplies code and lot number and quantity; placing materials in stock.
Requires knowledge of inventory management procedures and general warehousing terminology and practices.
Skills in mathematics, data analysis, root cause analysis, personal computers (Excel) and spreadsheets are vital. Familiarity with warehouse and inventory management systems required.
Accuracy and thoroughness required with great attention to detail.
Requires continuous improvement mindset and experience
Interpersonal and communication skills are important.
Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work assignments are diversified. Examples of past precedent are used to resolve work problems. New alternatives may be developed to resolve problems.
A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on routine basis.
Physical effort is required. Day to day duties do require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that typically weigh less than 50 lbs.
