Cresco Labs is seeking a Design and Store Planning Manager to join our growing Retail team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the design and development of all Sunnyside* retail locations. This individual will work closely with other cross-functional leaders to ensure that new, remodeled, and rebranded dispensaries are delivered on-time, on-budget, and on-brand. They will work with the VP of Retail Design in generating the overall scope and designs for all dispensary projects. This role will be accountable for the day-to-day management of the development schedule ensuring that cross-functional team deadlines are met.
CORE JOB DUTIES
STORE DESIGN AND PLANNING• Create preliminary floorplans and present to leadership for approval.• Create fixture designs in support of merchandising strategy.• Maintain prototypical specifications, documentations, and fixture designs.• Review design development set from the Architects prior to construction documentation.• Review final construction documents prior to DOB/ LL submittals.• Liaise with the Construction department in ensuring brand standards for dispensary buildouts are met.• Maintain the New Store Development schedule
CONSTRUCTION PURCHASING AND PROCUREMENT• Day-to-day management of all FF&E suppliers including millwork, lighting, flooring, and signage.• Negotiate and qualify suppliers in coordination with Strategic Sourcing.• Review and approve vendor proposals.• Product sourcing as needed.• Ensure materials are purchased and inventory maintained per the development schedule.• Order, track and ship all FF&E items per the New Store Development schedule.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
• 4-year college degree in design or equivalent work experience• 5+ years of design project management centered on fast paced retail environments with multi-unit responsibility, cannabis industry experience a plus.• Strategic thinker that consistently demonstrates an ability to flex areas on focus.• Ability to identify design trends and anticipate opportunities within the cannabis industry.• Proficient in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Enscape3D, Vray or equivalent.• Proficient in MS Office• Strong business acumen including data management, attention to detail, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills• High level of integrity, personal motivation, and sense of urgency• Varying hours of work that may include travel up to 50% of the time
