Curaleaf is searching for an energetic and self-motivated Buyer for our growing Maine and Vermont Operations team! The Buyer is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, planning, and scheduling the movement of raw materials, packaging materials, parts, services, supplies, finished goods, and related materials through the production and inventory process. This includes placing orders, forecasting sales, reviewing invoices, reconciling accounts, and identifying new opportunities as they arise. They must work with these companies consistently to build a strong relationship, resulting in lasting partnerships and deals. The Buyer position is a full time, weekday position (8am – 4:30pm), and based in Biddeford ME or Auburn ME.

Effective communication with their vendors as well as their peers and supervisors
Build and maintain strong business relationships with vendors and their representatives.
Identify and recommend business opportunities with a multitude of accounts.
Establish strong and lasting partnerships with vendors.
Meet individual monthly, quarterly, and/or yearly projections.
Critical thinking, sound decision making, and effective interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work efficiently towards a set deadline.
Knowledge of business data analysis and basic business software
Ability to pivot priorities and remain effective.
Organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficient with Microsoft business software, including email and excel spreadsheets.
Use of Quartzy or similar purchasing request software.
Interpersonal skills for communication on vendor and colleague levels
Strong ability to negotiate with confidence.
Positive and energetic attitude and personality comfortable with rapid change and growth
Bachelor’s degree preferably in Supply Chain or equivalent experience
Subject to background check per state cannabis regulations
1-2 year’s prior experience with inventory management, warehouse optimization practices, forecasting tools, safety stock determinations, and new product inventory planning.
Ability to travel to different sites between both states (Travel less than 10%)
