The Director of Cultivation and Manufacturing Technology will provide strategic leadership and execution for technology solutions and support for the retail and wholesale businesses.
The Director will be responsible for working directly with the business in order to gain a strong understanding of the business needs and determine how software and technology can enable and improve the business strategy and needs. This person will also work with the business to develop and execute on a technology roadmap and plan.
The Director will work with the business and IT peers to ensure successful delivery and ongoing support of technology solutions. The Director will be responsible vendor management ensuring SLAs are met, vendor roadmaps are understood and current and future enhancements are communicated and prioritized to meet the business needs.

Create the vision and strategy for a set of systems, infrastructure and practices that enables the Cultivation and Manufacturing businesses.
Work with business to develop technology roadmaps and plans and manage the application and project portfolios
Work with the business to develop infrastructure solutions to support the retail locations
Lead the requirements gathering, solution selection and project proposal process for new solutions
Oversee the IT portion of construction projects for retail locations.
Oversee the implementation and deployment of systems, working with delivery teams to ensure effective translation of requirements into technical specifications, delivery of projects to schedule with high quality.
Work affectively with peers in Infrastructure, Construction, Software Engineering and Project Management to align roadmaps and ensure service delivery
Develop departmental KPIs and manage and report to these metrics
Lead analysis of leading technology, industry, and market trends to determine their potential impact on the business strategy and needs
Ensure project management processes are followed
Develop, enhance and support processed which ensure business satisfaction with services and solutions
Maintain effective communication with business partners, management and team, including regular meetings, project reporting, SLA reporting etc
Develop and manage Cap ex and Op ex budgets and forecasts for retail technology
Manage vendor relationships, contracts, priorities and performance
Other duties as required
Core Skills / Requirements:
Strong knowledge of Manufacturing solutions required
Knowledge of Cultivation solutions preferred
Experience in Cannabis a plus
Experience in Tobacco or Pharma industries nice to have
Excellent client relationship skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong project management skills
Expert planning and organizing, decision-making and problem-solving skills
Strong critical thinking and managerial skills, including managing of matrixed staff
Strong interpersonal and diplomacy skills
Works well under stress with tight timelines for deliverables
Subject to background check per state cannabis requirements
Education / Experience:
BS/MS in Computer Science or related field
7+ years of manufacturing technology experience
