Mom, Clone, Veg Tech- Biddeford, ME
Summary This position is generally responsible for the day-to-day duties needed to maintain our perpetual cycle for plant production. This includes, but is not limited to plant maintenance, training, cloning, transplanting, plant inventory tracking, and inventory scheduling to manage production needs. This position requires working in a fast-paced environment, high attention to detail, and the ability to effectively interact with members of the team to ensure a positive culture. You will be reporting the Mom, Clone, and Veg Leads.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Follow good agricultural practices (GAPs) and follow all GMPs and Facility Rules as laid out by the Assistant cultivation manager and Clone, Mom, Veg leads
Complete Veg and Mom Room tasks as directed by the Assistant Cultivation Manager and leads efficiently.
Assist in all plant care from maintaining mother stock to harvest, including automated and hand watering, cloning, propagation, pheno hunting, transplanting, pruning, topping, defoliating, trellising, and harvesting
Typical daily work tasks required include (but not limited to): pruning, transplanting/moving plants, harvesting, cloning, cleaning, IPM tasks, etc.
Help in monitoring of environmental conditions including, but not limited to, temperature, humidity, CO2 levels, VPD, W/M2, etc.
Distribute biological control agents (BCAs) as needed and as directed by the Leads or IPM supervisor
Operate and maintain cultivation systems/equipment
Clean, sanitize, and help setup all vegetative grow rooms
Maintain and ensure proper storage and sanitation of all tools and equipment, including but not limited to shop vacs, pumps, hoses, carts, scissors, stools, totes, gloves, rags, and PPE gear
Help to perform regular audits as requested by the leads
Perform any other job-related tasks assigned by management
21+ years old
Motivational and enthusiastic
Accountable and reliable
Great time management, self-starter and/or self-motivator
Must be able to frequently lift up to 40 lbs.
Must be able to be on your feet or for long periods of time
Can withstand high room temperature averaging 80° and elevated humidity levels
Can work in areas with higher-than-average CO2 levels
Can work under intense, bright lights
Exposure to possible allergens, irritants (organic and chemical), and loud noises
Own Reliable transportation
Cannabis experience preferred
Experience with high volume production beneficial
Candidates must have a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and will be subject to a thorough background check. Candidates should be prepared to adapt to frequent/last minute adjustments to daily schedules, give special attention to detail, documentation and organization.
