Edible Packaging Associate Job DescriptionPosition Description: The Edible Packaging associate is responsible for managing the preparation of cannabis products for distribution.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:• Maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness and sterility inside the trimming and processing area• Aid in the oversight of inventory of bulk and prepackaged products. Set up appropriate inventory levels, ensure proper quantity of packages/products to meet production requirements. • Making sure all labeling and recording of inventory data into inventory tracking system is done in compliance with State and Company regulations and procedures. • Responsible for Quality Control and maintenance of all trimming and packaging equipment. • Ensure daily compliance with policies and procedures including but not limited to; state compliance, security protocols, and access protocols• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to maximize productivity levels through efficiencies in human capital, reduction of material waste, and elimination of downtime; continue to develop and improve safety program and best practices• Work in a fast-paced environment where major changes are made quickly• Measuring, packaging, and labeling products correctly and as directed• Ensure that all functions are performed to the highest standard of quality and compliance• Ability to keep accurate counts• Proper breakdown and cleanup of all areas• Utilize Management for needed guidance and support
Qualifications• Detail-oriented and ability to adapt to changing demands and priorities.• Demonstrate problem-solving skills.• Skills at using computers, web browsers and ERP systems.• People and communication skills (verbal and written).• Working knowledge or ability to develop working knowledge of cannabis state regulations• Ability to successfully manage a high-volume workload with deadlines.• Must be 21 years of age or older• Subject to background check per state cannabis regulations• Reliable transportation
Physical Requirements• Focus on a physical task for a long period of time without losing edge• Manual dexterity; enough to reach/handle items, work with fingers• Standing for extended periods is common• Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents• Allergen warnings - Potential exposure to dust, pollen, and plant pathogens.• Exposure to cleaning solvents, such as high volumes of isopropyl alcohol.• Daily use of provided PPE• Comfortable working in confined spaces at times• Exposure to loud noises, including but not limited to air compressors, packaging equipment, and alarms.• Exposure to CO2 manufacturing procedures at OSHA approved CO2 levels
