Harvest Lead Job Description


The Post-Harvest Lead provides support to the Harvest Supervisor by monitoring the dry process and determining when the material is ready for trimming and packaging. This role will lead the labor effort required for dry harvesting, weighing, batching, and cleaning the dry rooms after the dry harvest is completed.


Ensure that dry harvest work is completed in a timely manner; ensuring a steady stream of material is supplied to the trim and packaging department

Working with the trim and pack department and sales to determine what cultivars are needed and when

Tracking the productivity of harvest staff with production control measures is a must

Accurately weigh and record harvested biomass and manage cultivation waste

Keep dry rooms, tools, and equipment sterilized to our strict quality control standard

Aide in minor equipment repairs and preventative equipment maintenance

Adhere to all daily compliance with policies and procedures including but not limited to, state compliance, security protocols, and access protocols

Maintain open communication with management team and co-workers

Maintain a neat and organized work area allowing for the proper segregation of materials and processes

Follow all SOPs, verbal directives, training information and policies when performing duties

Other duties may be assigned


Detail oriented and ability to adapt to changing demands and priorities

Demonstrate problem-solving skills

Skilled at various computer programs, web browsers, and ERP systems

People and communication skills (written and verbal)

Working knowledge, or the ability to develop working knowledge of cannabis state regulations

Ability to successfully manage a high-volume workload with deadlines

Must be 21 years of age or older

Subject to background check per state cannabis regulation

Reliable transportation

Physical Requirements

Focus on a physical task for a long period of time without losing edge

Manual dexterity; enough to reach/handle items, work with fingers

Standing for extended periods is common

Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents

Allergen warnings - Potential exposure to dust, pollen, and plant pathogens.

Exposure to cleaning solvents, such as high volumes of isopropyl alcohol.

Daily use of provided PPE

Comfortable working in confined spaces at times

Exposure to loud noises, including but not limited to air compressors, packaging equipment, and alarms.

Exposure to CO2 manufacturing procedures at OSHA approved CO2 levels
